This year, instead of the traditional Halloween party, I decided to host a Murder Mystery Dinner! It has been something I have wanted to do for a long time but have just never gotten around to it! So procrastination time was up, and the murder began! I found these awesome party kits at My Mystery Party and the options were endless! I did a little narrowing down, and with the help of some of my friends we decided to do the “The Assassination at the Annual Superhero Assembly”.

I highly recommend you plan a party, the kit comes all ready to go, full with instructions, games, menu suggestions, character clues, it is pretty much print and go. I can’t wait for a repeat event! How often do you get to see your friends go wild with costumes? Plus, you can always reuse the costumes for another Halloween, at least that’s what I’ll probably do…

Another tip… assign the “required” characters to the most outgoing people. The guests don’t have to know this, but those are generally the characters that have the most protagonism.

I really loved playing hostess (as usual) and Electra the superhero and leader of the Justice Confederation (…hahaha). There are plenty of other game options from 1920′s, 50′s, 70′s disco, 80′s – might do that one next time – or celebrity edition, they are really endless.
